Bruce Ferguson, M.D.
Philosophy
Taking the time to listen to a patient's story is Dr. Ferguson's number one priority; this is where the diagnosis to a patient's problem is usually hidden. The examination and laboratories are frequently confirmatory procedures for such diagnoses. Dr. Ferguson holds prevention of illness in very high regard, believing strongly in educating his patients on the most current data and recommendations. He respects his patient's rights to make their own decisions and fully understands that patients are in control of their choices. Dr. Ferguson is also very aware of the burden of medication costs and works with his patients to design effective regimens without causing undue financial hardship to the patient. When recommending a subspecialist, he acknowledges that a match of personalities is just as important as technical expertise, and both considerations are made to optimize a healthy doctor-patient relationship.
